Power supply problem?

I built a gaming PC based off of a video by Austin Evans. The only thing I did differently was instead of a ssd I used an hhd. When I turn the system on, the fans and lights are a little shaky at first (blinking a little and slowing down and speeding up) then the system seems to be stable for about 5 seconds, then it shuts down and turns back on. I can't figure out what to do. Is my power supply busted? Some of the parts were sitting in less ventilated parts of my house (and I live in Florida so it can get a little hot) but it has also been winter. I can't figure out what's wrong. I watched the YouTube video of the exact build I have. Help please

(I was building the photon 3.0 500 dollar gaming PC)

Solution
if there led are strobbing sound like there dead short in your build. start with the mb outside of the case and if the mb has built in video use the power supply and see if the mb will post fine on top of the mb box with one ram stick. if it wont and the mb debug led are blinking try a kown good power supply.
