I need advice.
I have to buy a power supply, but I'm confused.
corsair rm850i or rm850x v2 2018 is it better?
Or be quiet dark pro 11 750w ?
I had decided stright power 11 850w platinum but I saw that they have a problem with incorrectly configured protection features.
what is your advice ?
Thank you

Solution
example rtx 2080 requires 650 watts recommended + 165 for i9 10 generation, ssd, fans and others
That's why I think 850 watts is enough at this stage.
I want to get a quality and quiet power supply.
That's why I hesitate between be quiet dark pro and corsair rmi
The 2080 doesn't require a 650W PSU, that is just the manufacturers recommendation. Now when you use an i9-10900K with it you will want a 650W PSU. However, if you were to go to a Ryzen 3700X you could use a 550W PSU due to the lower power CPU & not needing a 280mm+ AIO.

my current configuration does not need more than 500w
but I want to think about the future.
I doubt two video cards
Rather an i9, 10 generation that requires 165 or 195 watts
I am a Linux user, the computer is more of a home server, i'm not a gamer

Even using that setup you don't need 850W PSU. These PSU calculators assume that you are running everything at full power all at once as well. Actual usage will be quite a bit less.

That's why I hesitate between

The RTX 2080 itself doesn't require 650 watts to run, that's recommended for an entire system that uses an RTX 2080. And they're very liberal with those requirements because of the inevitability that people will use garbage PSUs.

The RTX 2080 peaks in the 250W range.

My main PC runs a 2080 Super with a mild overclock (already with a higher wattage than a 2080), an 8700k on an all-core 5.0 GHz, eight hard drives, four sticks of RAM, a ton of unicorn vomit, including a custom RGB backplate. It's literally only off when it's rebooting or there's a power outage. I have the proper tools to monitor wattage and I've never come near 650W, let alone 850W.

Dark Power Pro 11 is better than the Straight Power 11. The Corsair RMi & RMx are basically the same unit just the RMi has monitoring software with it. Quality wise the Corsair and Be Quiet are both going to be very good. I would also look and see how much a Seasonic Focus GX/PX or Prime GX/PX run. The Seasonic PSUs are also very good. One other alternative that is more inline with the Straight Power 11 in performance is the Fractal Design Ion+ in Platinum efficiency.

rmx has no fdb fan

it is strange that Germany is closer to me, and be quiet is more expensive
If you are looking at spending 200+ Euros on a 850W PSU in which you won't need 850W, get a 650W Seasonic Prime TX for 200 Euro instead. Otherwise the 650W Seasonic Focus PX for 130 Euro is a good deal as is the 650W Seasonic Focus GX for 105 Euros. If you decide that you want more watts, even though you won't need them, the 750W versions are still far more affordable than the RMi or Dark Power Pro. Note that the Prime TX is one of the absolute best PSUs available and the Focus line are very good as well. Build quality on the Seasonics will be as good as Be Quiet or Corsair too.
