I would like to upgrade my current Graphics Card to a GTX 970 (the EVGA Superclocked ACX 2.0 version).
My computer specs are:
Processor: AMD Phenom II x6 1090t
Current GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 6750
Power supply: Corsair CMPSU-600GUK

I was wondering if the current power supply would be sufficient for the GTX 970, or would I have to upgrade to a new one.

Thanks in advance.

Bad choice of graphics card brand. EVGA are receiving complaints for the GTX 970. So get either Asus, Gigabyte or MSI.

I wouldn't upgrade the graphics card that fast. The CPU will be bottlenecking the GTX 970 and you wouldn't have a pleasant time gaming.

If you do upgrade to a GTX 970, then the PSU will be suffice. However it is not a good PSU.

Please prpvide the budget for the whole upgrade you plan to proceed with. And I will do my best to help you find the parts.

Hope this helps mate.

Currently, I do not have plans to upgrade anything else; I read about the GTX 970 reviews, and frankly, was impressed by its power/performance quality, and hence thought of upgrading.
Thanks for the heads up about the EVGA complaints.
Might wait it out then.
