Power Supply Requirements

I am going to replace my old 400w power supply with a 600w power supply. I am wondering if there is anything that my power supply will need in order to be compatible with my motherboard.

Not much. Most are compatible anyway. You should look for a good quality PSU. Which PSU have you chosen?

Psu compatibility comes down to the number of cables required. High end cards have dual 8 pin power connectors and some high end mobo have an extra 4 pin power connector for oc stability. So just check if you have the required power connectors and you choose a good tier 1 or tier 2 power supply.
