[SOLVED] Power supply tester started smoking

I was using a cheap power supply tester on some 1000 watt psus. It worked just fine after testing 3 psu’s. On the 4th psu the power supply tester starting smoking in my hand but the psu itself wasn’t smoking. Is it a faulty psu or is it probably the tester? I haven’t tried to power a pc with it because I’m afraid it’ll fry a pc.

Well you can only try.
It is either going to work, or the pc wouldnt turn on since the psu got fried.

Was the 4th PSU a Dell or HP or something?
