I have a H510 with Asus x570 tuf gaming + wifi, 6800xt graphics card and 5900x amd processor. All has worked well on my build that is less than 6 months old, until yesterday. System had been on light use for about 10mins, went to make a coffee and came back and only the rgb lights were on!
Tryed to reboot, but it just clicks when pressing the power button.
Followed the forum and tryed tryed to jumpstart, still no start but rgb lights on mother board are only sign of life, (no fans or anything else)
Purchased a power tester that arrived today, and power supply shows as ok. Have all the correct volt on the main 20/24 pin cable and 12v on the CPU cable.

Tryed again, unplugging all cables to GPU and drives ect. Just the CPU and 20/24 pin remain and still nothing nut a relay click in the PSU.
The PSU is a corsair rm850x so coud be a protection circuit tripping I guess?

Unplugged the CPU cable and left just 20/24pin lead pluged in to the board, now the power button lights up and it does not trip! The computer stays on but nothing is happening as no power to the rest of the board. So I changed the CPU cable to test if it is a cable issue, and the same happened. As soon as I plug in the CPU cable it trips something in the power supply and will not boot or turn on.

My question is what next? Could it still be the power supply but only under load, should I buy a new one (I have no way of loading it with out plugging it in to board) .. Could it be the actual mother board, there is no sign of any problems arfer inspection. Could it be a component causing a short (GPU, CPU or memeory) ?

Any help appreciated :)

That totally sounds like bad VRM on the motherboard.

This is part that tells that it's VRM in question, Unfortunately there's no other way to cgeck it at home.
Thanks, I see your logic. Something is bad on the CPU circuit I agree. But could it still be the PSU or any thing else on that circuit that is causing the trip?
