I tried starting my PC and it turned on and then turned off a second later. I turned off the power supply switch and then turned it back on and as soon as I put the switch to the on position, the PC turned on and then turned off. I rebuilt my PC to check everything was connected right and still had the same problem. After the PC had turned on and then off the pins on the motherboard wouldn't turn on the PC. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If you are jumping the power switch at the motherboard.....and you are getting nothing....I think it's either the power supply or the motherboard.....and I would probably be swapping out the supply because it's much easier.

Thanks, I have another power supply and I'll try that and get back to you.

So when you connect it to the motherboard....you can either jump the pins on the motherboard.....and it should come on....or.....connect the power button to the motehrboard and press it.....and it should come on......and if it doesn't.....I think you might have a motherboard problem.
I plugged in the new power supply and it did the same thing. So I will have to get a new motherboard right?

It is sure sounding that way to me.....and I think there's a good chance your old power supply is probably good. You could try resetting the BIOS on your motherboard......or even try reinstalling the BIOS.....but I don't have a lot of confidence that is going to fix it......it is just something to try.

I've already taken out the cmos battery and waited about 5 minutes before putting it back in but thanks for your help anyway.
