Power supply upgrade.

i am planing on playing games, and well the desktop that i recently got needs a graphic card and well the graphic card is too heavy for the power supply so i need a a power supply for it i dont really know much about computers so i am just going with what i see online but i am having problems choosing the power supply.


the graphic card is :EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SC GAMING, ACX 2.0 (Single Fan), 6GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC), 06G-P4-6163-KR.

i believe is a standard psu i found the upgraded part but i dont trust the page where i found the psu. sorry i am not knowledgeable about computers. i have the GATEWAY DX4860-UB21P.

Hmm well while i was looking for the right part i found out that it needs a 400W psu, but thats just info from the graphics card page.
 
Actually, I don't see why you can't go with this unit if you're stapped for cash.
But do know it comes with a lesser warranty (3 years vs 5 years for the CX450)

Well i am not really worried about the money, but i can try that psu then get a better one later on.
 


That's not a bad idea just to make sure standard ATX power supplies fit and work. I thought about buying one of them because they are so cheap just in case I needed it; but I already have an EVGA 430W laying around from my first build with an i3-4160 + GTX 750 Ti. It still works fine.

Well my pc's dimensions are w 7.1" d 15.8" h 12.6" si i think it will.
 


You need to look at the dimensions of your current PSU.

hi guys i tried the psu that you guys told and well it didn't work. The psu never turned on or anything i tried everything even moving some cables and nothing it might be defective or not, but i can't use it at this point i might as well just get anew machine. Thank you guys for your help.
