Power Supply Wattage Estimates Please

  EVGA GTX 970 FTW (4GB) x2 for SLI
  
  ASUS X97 Sabertooth Mark 1 Armor MoBo
  
  G.SKILL Sniper Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 1866

I'm not quite sure how much power I'll need. I've used wattage calculator's but I keep finding that they're missing some of the components I'm using. I'm really excited for this build (I'm coming from a Core2Duo/9600GT/4GB DDR2). Also, does this seem like overkill? Thanks everyone, the help is appreciated greatly.

The system as-is not necessarily overkill, but if you want to save some cash you can step down to a Core i5-4690K if you don't plan to do much more than gaming and you wouldn't lose much in the way of performance.

The plan is to record/render footage (both live and not) and possibly try out some games in 4K. Does the i5 still seem okay? Or do you think I'll need the i7 still?

Umm you will need a 750w PSU (you might be able to get away with a 650w PSU but i wouldn't recommend it) I think the other guys overlooked the fact you had SLI GTX 970's.

If it was me and you can budget it, i'd get the i7 4790k - if you plan to do video editing and rendering it will be helpful. If you are tight on your budget a i5 4690k will work just fine.

You will be fine with the 750w PSU, the system at full load Might use 550-600w, you want a bit of head room and the 750w psu will give you that. If you want to do some major overclocking going with the PSU listed above would be a good idea.
