According to many people the Cooler Master psu calculator, or any psu calculator, is inaccurate. I'll be upgrading my GPU in a few days so I wanted to get an idea of the wattage needed for my specific setup so I'm creating this thread.
Specs:
-i5 4690k @3.5ghz (Turbo Boost enabled)
-2x4gb Kingston HyperX Fury @1600Mhz
-(potentially) Zotac Amp Extreme 1080 (wont be overclocking)
-1TB Seagate Barrcuda HDD
-MSI z97 pc mate mobo
-2x120mm fans
-1x92mm fan
-EVGA 500w 80+ PSU
As you can see I'm worried that 500w wont be enough. I dont really intend on running synthetic benchmarks after the first few days where I'll test the new card. Is it advisable for me to upgrade? Thanks in advance for all replies!
