Power Supply Wattage Requirement?

Hello everyone,

Forgive me, if this question sounds dumb, but I don't know how to choose the correct wattage of power supply for my computer.

My specs are:

Processor - Intel i7 4820K 3.7 GHz
VGA - Nvidia Quadro K600
Motherboard - GigaByte X79 UD3
RAM - 2 Pieces of DDR3 2400 MHz
SSD - Corsair 120 GB
HDD - 2TB

What would be the best wattage for my computer?

I would be looking at a 550W unit, if only to ensure future upgrade path. You could get a 450W and be fine.

Thanks for the suggestion, I did not receive any email prompting me about replies, I thought no one replied. So I went with the Cooler Master Vanguard 1000. Is it good enough?

You don't need a 1000 watt PSU and is overkill and will not be efficient. Bigger is not always better but if you must error do it on the high side.
