Power surge pc not turning on

Earlier today there was a short power surge at my house due to a storm. My pc shut off as has happened once or twice before during storms but this time it didn't turn on. I went to Best Buy to purchase a new power supply and after replacing that , still nothing. When I press the power button there are no fans, nothing.

What am I looking at here? Is this most likely a dead motherboard?

Yes, it's mostly likely your motherboard IF the outlet you are using has power. Plug in a lamp or soemthing to confirm it has power.

On your next trip to Best Buy get a UPS or at least a surge suppressor.

This sucks a lot but I guess I'll pick up a motherboard and post back here with an update.

What is the likelihood that the rest of my parts are fried as well? I guess I'll find out when I try the new motherboard.
