Power surge pc restarts

My pc keeps shutting down from a power surge it's happened 2x in the space of 20 minutes is my psu dying?

wait. slow down. when did the power surge happen? How do you know it happened? has the symptoms started only after said power surge?

or do you mean your pc has started to just power down? confused.

Last night it restarted after a few hours of gaming with asus power surge message on start up today it has happened 2x in the space of 20 minutes

according to this thread, it was the guy's house wiring at fault causing this

you can get a cheap thing to plug into the plug where the pc is getting power to test if it has circuit problems as the solution in that thread points to.

get one of these and test your plugs

if errors detected, don't use that to power your pc, get an electrician to fix the house wiring.

It's possible. Don't know how accurate this ASUS anti-surge thingy is.
