Power surge problem

What I believe happened was a power surge. During a thunderstorm there was a very loud crack in my room when my computer was on. One of my thoughts was maybe a standoff snapped that was holding my CPU fan in, but that appeared to be fine. I tried replacing the PSU already, but that didn't solve it.

The problem that is occurring is that my computer won't even get to POST. When plugged in I will get leds on my motherboard for the motherboard power button and ocgenie button. When I press the onboard power button and the case power button I get the same results, no fans, no sounds, no post. If anyone could give me assistance It would be very much appreciated.

The important parts anyways. The only exception is that I've also tried it with a CX750M Corsair power supply.

Edit: I also thought I should mention that it was plugged into a surge protector, and I tried looking for any busted capacitors or burn marks by eye but didn't notice any. I have not removed everything and tried looking very closely yet.

test the old power supply with a paperclip to find out if it still works.
test the surge protector by plugging in another device into the same outlet where the computer is usually plugged in.
just to eliminate power issues from the list of suspects.

Yeah the power supply is not the issue. Both the 750w and 620w power supplies that I have are both functioning.

unplug everything from the MoBo that can be unplugged, hard drives, extra memory, cd-rom drives,
also read the MoBo's manual and see if there is a jumper to clear the BIOS

if the above fails your MoBo is fried.
