recent storms took my power 3-4 times yesterday and i had my pc running perfectly fine after words then all of the sudden my pc just went dead i replaced my psu(did the paperclip test) with a similar model still no power up i reconnected cpu cable and mobo cable still nothing. when i flick the power switch on the psu and then press my power button on the tower my fans spin for half a second and thats it. also my usual mobo lights are on. anyone have a idea of the issue?

Once a rig will no longer power on, you can try running off a single RAM module (alternately, to test that neither is preventing power on/POST); you can alos disconnect all uneeded devices just to rule them out. But once you've tried another *known good PSU*, it's time to consider that your MB went to the big Recycling Center of the Sky...
