I'm computer savvy but I have no idea what would cause my PC to flicker quick and then shut down due to power loss, as I was using it. Its a decent rig... i7700k/1080ti.
When I flip the power switch off on the PSU everything powers down of course. When I flip it back on, the mobo RGB lights and USB ports still get power. However once I turn the on the PC via power button the red power light flashes then dies and it seems the mobo and/or CPU is not getting power.
Nothing smells fried, I've already opened the case, cleaned, and gave everything a good whiff. I checked cable connections, all good.
I'm a bit stumped on this one. Any suggestions? does anybody have a link to a video showing how to check power connections so I can see Where the failure is?
