So I have these cables here that came with my Corsair RM1000x: https://ibb.co/rZvWKH2

It's an 8pin plugin to the PSU that goes off to be two 6+2.
my card needs three 8/6+2 Pins.
I was just wondering if I use two of these Y-like cables, meaning I would have four 6+2pins and leave one hanging off. Or will I need to have 3 fully separate 8pin connectors, all with their own power?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

If your PSU lacks the necessary connectors for all your components, you have either the wrong component or the wrong PSU for the job. The connector on the right of the image you linked is very likely the 12v EPS connector for your motherboard. Furthermore your PSU is modular, you should be in possession of a bag of cables with a pair of additional PCIe connectors.

According to the manual, you should have 4 PCIe 6+2 connectors that plug to the PSU's end and have a daisy chain on the other. You're advised to connect 3 of these to the PSU and not use the daisy chained end on the GPU...yes they should be connected standalone from the PSU to the GPU.

If you're still curious about the adapter, history has shown us that adapters are practically the bane of any computer hardware. They might look cool/fancy but you should work with proper cables, not ones that were adapted.

The cables and connectors of a Corsair RMx are decent. No problem to use one single cable and one daisy chained.

Hi, thank you for your reply, I have three 8pins I need to power so if I use one daisy chained and another daisy chained but leave the other half of the chain loose, will this still work? I have found a Diagram that represents what I'm asking to help 😅
