I currently have an AsRock Z170 Pro with an Intel i5 6600K and GTX 750 ti running on a 750w PSU.
I was wondering if either the GTX 970 or 980 would be able to run with that wattage or if I'll have to get a higher one.
If, for example, I'll need a higher psu for only the 980 I'll just buy the 970.

Thanks in advance

you don't need a "higher" PSU, but I would highly consider going for a better one.

Here---> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438017 , $89.99 today, you can't beat that. If you can afford it, your current PSU can run it but I will really, really consider upgrading sometime down the road if you indeed get the 980 or 970 for that matter.

What brand is your PSU? If its a good manufactured 80+ certified PSU then you have enough power there to run 2 of either of those cards. If its a nomark unbranded none certified PSU then advice would be to search out a quality branded unit.

The exact one is this

I'm leaning more towards the 980 or even 980 TI just for future proofing really (probably a stupid idea) and the fact i'd prefer to take advantage of my 4K tv. Although not sure that would justify the £500~+ price tag.

Also I'll be needing one that isn't insanely long as I don't have a full tower. The tower i have is left over from this

I reckon that PSU can run a 980Ti.
