few weeks ago I bought the Asus VQ248QE monitor.
so far it was connected with a dual link DVI cable and now I wanted to switch it to Displayport.
I have a mini-DP output in my graphic card so I got a mini-DP to DP cable to connect it.
After I connected the cable and turned on my PC, it turned off immediately and when I unplugged the cable my PC was able to turn on again.
I then tried to connect the cable while my PC is on and it did work, so I can assume there's nothing wrong with my mini-DP port, my DP port and with the cable.
Has anyone encounter this kind of situation?
