Does "USB 3.0 port" = USB 3.1 Gen 1 or Gen 2? With a Thunderbolt 3 port as well I would assume Gen 2 but could go either way.

The spec sheet for the device indicated USB 3.0, which is another way of saying USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gbps). The materials didn't explicitly say it had Gen 2 ports (10 Gbps), so I don't believe it has the faster USB connectivity.
