I'm in a very strict budget of $400 and right now, Powercolor R9 270 is $111~ and 750 Ti FTW is $109~

Not sure which one to get because FTW's stock OC is around 1.19GHz and Powercolor R9 270 is @ 930MHZ

Need help guys!!! Thank you:pt1cable:

These doesn't mean anything.even that site shows gtx 560 is better than gtx 750ti.750ti is 50% better than gtx 560 in terms of gaming.LOL

Again you're wrong.Higher watts doesn't mean better performance.R7 260x is 120watts an 750ti is 60watts (half) and it outperforms r7 260x/265 in games.

He's not considering the regular 750 ti. It's a FTW edition, which means it's a special edition that overclocks agressively. The FTW has power connectors, and most other 750 ti cards don't use power connectors. You'll have to look at benchmarks specifically for 750 ti cards with power connectors. I think the FTW is one of two. The other is an ASUS card. Those will give you an idea for comparison.

In the end, thgough, the 270 WILL generally beat out the 750 ti in terms of horsepower.

My question is "Where are you seeing the 750 ti FTW for only $109?!?!"

i don't believe an oc on the 750ti will overcome the 128 bit vs 256 bit memory bus completely. i don't recommend the 750ti unless your in a low power psu situation usually associated with upgrading an older pc. if you have the power supply to support it, then a 270 or better yet a 270x is the way to go. give it a few more days for the last holiday sales to kick in and you can probably get a 270x pretty cheap to match the prices your finding now for the 270

The "FTW" makes a difference. I'm telling you. That particular version of the card is different. The R9 270x (and maybe the 270) will usually win out in Mantle games, but the 750 ti FTW comes out ahead in certain non-mantle games. Below is one such example:

My question again is where the OP is finding the FTW edition for only $109?! It's usually a $200 card that goes on sale for about $160-170: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487028

i don't see that card for 109 either.

i can't argue with the chart provided but i don't see a couple frames per second as a solid reason to claim victory. if your going to oc anyway, why not oc the 270 a little bit and more than likely get another 2-3 fps over this 750ti oc? the 270's base is almost this oc and should oc even better.

oc is not the same each time and depends a lot on the card you get. but if you get a warm and fuzzy claiming a couple more fps then by all means enjoy it.

i still maintain that the 750ti is a niche card and not a good choice for a new psu/upgrade or build.

I'm just saying that if he can really the EVGA 750 ti FTW Edition for less than a 270, then that's the ticket. If he doesn't want it any more, he'll probably be able to sell it for a profit (at least no loss) on eBay. Maybe he saw the non-ti card, which is considerably slower. That would explain the pricing.

Dont listen to dumb fanboys. Here are actual benchmark tests. In few games 750ti and 270 do come close or even have equal FPS, but in most 270 will outwork 750ti for 5-20 fps depending on a game.

Plz don't list older games.Older games are not optimized for gtx 750ti.Some bench about ACU,FC4,COD AW would be good.

What's so hard to understand? The "FTW" gives a few extra FPS out of the box compared to other 750 ti cards, plus it has more overclocking headroom for a few more fps. That puts the FTW edition on par, and regular 750 ti cards are NOT on par. Even though the 270x is usually faster, getting a 750 ti FTW for less money than a 270x makes the decision a no-brainer in favor of the 750 ti FTW from EVGA. However, if that price isn't available, the 270x becomes more attractive. Basically, the cheaper between the two is the way to go because they are so close. That's assuming there's no need for proprietary technology of either card, in which case price doesn't factor in as heavily.+

Dont listen to blind fanboy tripe. FTW edition wont give you much better results than normal 750 TIs and newer games perform same as older on both cards. 270 is substantially stronger card, given that they are the same price you will lose out if you buy the weaker one. Also you can OC 270 to get 270x like performance.
