Powercolor R9 280X TurboDuo or Sapphire Radeon R9 280X Dual-X OC

Which one would should I get? I'm buying both used, except the Powercolor one has only been in use for a week or so (basically new) and the Sapphire Radeon one has been in use for a year. Both have 1 year left in warranty, and cost about the same.

I keep reading about the PowerColor being a cheaper budget brand and the Sapphire being a quality one.

Both are non-reference cards

Depends on the exact model. The early models of the sapphire had coil wine, which is the worst thing ever. They perform about the same. Power color is perceived as a crap brand because they do not spend as much on engineering but even they put out a good product. The TurboDuo 280X is a good card.

Do you have the exact model numbers/names? A company can make many models if their first rev has issues.

I agree. Find out more about the Sapphire since they are top dog with AMD cards. Has it been overclocked or overvolted, along with the exact model #? I've used Sapphire for years and prefer them. Powercolor is low end and last resort.

powercolor's are also notorious for coil whine when the gpu is running at max settings, sorry!
