So I just today bought myself a used r9 390 for my setup and switched my rx460 out for the 390 but after 6-7hrs i still haven't gotten it to show up anywhere on my pc (ive tryed lots of things but im really new to all of this). its getting frustrating cause i just cant find way to make my pc recognize the card.

my system:
asrock h81m-vg4 r2.0
i5-4460
8gb ram
powercolor r9 390
xilence 550w psu

please help me guys, i dont have a clue on what to do!

Just to clarify a few things you have the 8 pin and 6 pin pcie power connected to the card? Nvm you can't spec sheet show that power supply only has 1x 6+2 pin.

Answer, you need a new power supply and a much better one at that the r9 390 is a power hog.

thanks for the reply brother. i found one thats 700w and has an extra 1x6pcie cable so it fills the full plug on the 390. isn't a top quality one tho "aurora ibox 700w" but should do the work?

That is really low quality, I would try to get something from EVGA, Corsair or some big name that is at least 80+ bronze
