Hey guys!

I wanted to know if the turboduo r9 280x is better/worse than the palit jetstream gtx 770?

-In terms of performance which is better?
-In terms of future proofing which one is better, is the extra 1gb vram better for 1440p/1080p and future proofing?
-In terms of temperatures and reliability which model of these two cards would be better?

Please don't tell me I should get a msi, gigabyte, evga or sapphire card as I am getting my pc from the company pc specialists who make decent computers, but not at the best price. I dont have enough time and experience to make one myself. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE HELP AND SUPPORT IT REALLY IS APPRECIATED :)

in general they all got there pro's and con's i dont know much about the palit brand and i am useing a powercolor now but i'm no brand name fanboy-- but as far as the card as a r9-28x and a gtx770 one or the outher thats a toss up and it would be a 50/50 eather one would be fine with me just flip a coin or go with the one you feel most right with

Powercolor tends to use lower quality components. I've not used Palit but heard they are quality cards. The performance really depends on the resolution of the monitor you're using and the games you're playing. Those will determine which card will be better for you.

I have a 1920x1080p monitor and I might or might not do dual monitor in the future. But for now it is a 1080p single monitor so would 2gb of vram be enough to play game on ultra settings 60fps

The difference between the two is minimal, it just depends on what games you are playing. So it just depends on what you are looking for. NVIDIA offers a lot of extras, shadowplay, geforce experience ect. If you don’t need/care about that, then go for the card fits in your budget best.

They are both great cards @1080p and you will be happy no matter what card you choose.

Yes, 2GB VRAM is enough for 1080p in the majority of situations.
