Powering a 200mm Fan

I'm looking to get 2 Cooler Master MegaFlow 200mm fans for my 780T's intake. The product page on Amazon includes this picture right here:

Do I have to use molex to power this fan? Or is molex just optional? I hate molex. A lot.

You don't need to use that adaptor, the fans have a normal 3 pin fan plug. I have 3 of them in my system all plugged right into my motherboard.

That molex you are looking at is an optional adapter for the 3-pin connector that the fan is wired with.

As long as it is a 3pin or 4pin wire harness you should have no issue powering it with your motherboard or fan controller.

200mm fans are poor for the most part.....Only decent ones I've come across are Phanteks.

I have room for 3 120mm fans or 2 140mm/200mm. As far as I understand, 2 200mm fans would offer the best intake flow because most overall blade surface area. Should I stick to my current 3x120mm setup?

Are the PH-F200SP's any good? I used to have the 140mm form of those fans on my TC14PE and they were great.

Yes they are good , the only 200mm , I would consider , the rest aren't worth it.

Just want to add, while I do have the exact CM fans as mentioned, I have not found them to be poor quality, but they are louder than you would expect for such a large low RPM fan.

That's unfortunate, I love the LED versions.

Yeah they look cool, I have 3 of them in red (and a 120mm red one) and it lights up like a space ship.
