Hi. I was just wondering if this 300W would juice a 9800GT Eco (uses less then 70W's) along side a Q8200 and 4GB DDR2 (2x2GB,) The motherboard in question is a Gigabyte G31.

I'm building a custom case for a friend, he wants it to be the same size as the Xbox 360, so far everythings in apart from a custom PSU. There are a few, but my concern is if it will power it or not. Someone suggested in another thread that my 305W Dell PSU would be fine with this GPU...

Any ideas?

9 amps on the 12V is weak, very weak. I'd say you'll have better luck with a 4670.

Even though the Eco doesn't need a power connector you'll be cutting it close.

Try it out if you want, run CRYSIS or a very intense game for 2-3 hours or more, then try 3D Mark vantage for the same amount of time, if it passes then it'll probably be safe.
