Powering GPU cables

Hello community,

I have this GPU : GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G

My PSU is : Corsair RM1000x

My question is if i can use 1 8pin + 6+2 to power this GPU or if i need 2 separate 8 pin cables for it.

Yes you can use 6+2-pin, it works the same as an 8-pin if you include the +2-pins.
