Hello, so basically I have an EVGA GTX 660 GPU which requires a 6 pin connection, now understanding this I have a 500W PSU, but with no 6 pin cable, but then I do have an adapter which is a dual molex to 6 pin, however I only have one molex cable and I have inserted it into the adapter and powered the PC on, and it was successful, will this kill my PC soon or no?

Solution
"will this kill my PC soon or no?"

If not the PC itself, at least the PSU. If the PSU didn't come with a 6-pin connector, chances are, it's +12V rail was not designed for that kind of load.
