First time PC builder here;
My build worked for a week or two, and then things started to fail. First, it was my USB mouse and keyboard not working sometimes, which a reboot would fix. Next, my network card stopped working, something I got around with a USB adapter. But now, my PC will start, run for a second, then turn off and then try to turn itself on again, cycling this pattern if I allow. I've taken it apart, and built it over outside the case, and I've determined that the boot fails if when my PSU is plugged into the CPU power port on my motherboard. I've tested my PSU, and it works fine. I've also tried to reseat my CPU (an i7), and it doesn't help. Does this mean I need to return my CPU, or is there a simpler issue I'm missing?
