powerline adapter works on laptop but not on my PC

Hello,

So I recently bought a powerline adapter (TP-LINK TL-411KIT). It's working fine on my dell inspiron 15 laptop, but not on my PC. I don't know why, it's very frustrating. At ethernet port of my PC the lights are burning and I can see three green lights on the powerline plugs. Please help, I have no idea what i'm supposed to do.

Maybe you have diferent etherner configurations on the Pc and in the laptop?
Check that the desktop ethernet is not configured to manual ip, or with a wrong gateway or something like that.

The internet in my room is garbage, so a few days ago I ordered a powerline adapter from TP-LINK and hooked it up to my school laptop (dell inspiron 15). To confirm that it worked I went to speedtest.net and tested my speed with and without adapter. It worked.

So when I was done studying I wanted to play some games with my friend, so I turned on my PC (no brand, self-built) and I didn't have internet. I paired the adapters and restarted my PC, still nothing. So I searched online and I found nothing resembling my problem.

So then I went to ask the mighty wizards of r/techsupport. The wizards did not reply to my post.

I thought to myself "this must be a perfect job for r/pcmasterrace". r/pcmasterrace didn't find shit.

PLEASE HELP. I WANT TO PLAY VIDEOGAMES (and maybe watch some porn).
