Using the TP LINK TL-PA8010P KIT powerline adapters. Only receiving 76 mbps between my router and my pc adapters. When i was using a wifi bridge i was receiving 200+ mbps and i thought i would received better speeds when using powerline adapters. What's happening!!!
(i know wiring affects it but IT SHOULDN'T BE THIS BAD!)

Raw speed wireless tends to be faster. Wireless will get very random variations in speed even though the average throughput will be higher than powerline. Powerline tends to have very little variation in the latency or throughput.

It really depends on your application. The vast majority of people on this forum tend to want their games to run well. Games use very little bandwidth but do not tolerate variations. Powerline tends to be a better choice.

Pretty much everything else other than some forms of live video stream will run better on wireless since most things can deal with the packet loss and delays.

Now of course this assume you get good wireless signal in the first place it does not matter how fast it is if you do not...

I would test the powerline units in the same room as the router. You can even plug both them into a non surge protected power strip if you do not have 2 outlets to use.

The newest powerline units like you have tend to work better than any of the older ones. Still strangeness in the wiring or interfering devices..ie things with motors.. can make even these not work.

There is little you can do. There are no settings, you plug them in and they work or they do not.
