Powerline adapters

hello anyone know why my decktop wont connect to the internet through a belkin powerline adapter when my laptop will even though i'm using the same wall socket

If the powerline adapter works with the laptop does, first are you sure that the laptop has the wireless turned off so that it is actually using the powerline?

Also, did you install the powerline adapter software on the desktop computer, if not do so.

Does the desktop Ethernet adapter show up in the device manager as working correctly?
