Powerline Speeds Significantly Slower Than Wi-Fi

I have a 120Mbps plan with my ISP and I bought this adapter and set it up with my PC. I ran some speed tests and the speeds on both the ethernet connection and the SSID clones it made were significantly slower than if I connected to the 5G with only 2 bars that my router was spitting out.

Any ideas?

These adapters are slower if your house wirering are not the best and/or you have a lot of noise in the electrical grid in your house or area.

My house isn't very old, and how would I know if there's a lot of noise in my area?

Well, you cannot know. And just because your house is new doesn't mean the wiring is perfect.

Best 2 options for this is to either buy and set up a MESH Wifi network, or use Cat6 or Cat5e cables to connect.

Alright thanks for your help! I think I have 1 Cat6 cable at the moment. Would it be more effective plugging into the router or the PC for now?
