Powerline will not work with switch

Hello everyone, I'm having a problem with my new powerline adapters that I got yesterday, I have one adapter plugged into the verizon router which is plugged into the wall and the other adapter is plugged into the wall in a different room, I have confirmed that this alone works and I'm getting decent speeds over this alone, but a problem occurs when I try to go from Router>Powerline>wall>powerline>8 port switch>computer. The switch works perfectly when plugged directly into the router but not the powerline adapter. The powerline adapter works perfectly when plugged directly into the computer, so wheres the problem here? thanks in advance

Have you tested the switch directly connected to the router to ensure it is working correctly?

umm longshot but have you got a crossover cable you can try?
