Question Powerlines with access point capabilities information

Hi, i need an info about powerlines.

I tell you my idea so you might be able to tell me if it's doable or not.

I tried with extenders to bring wireless connectivity to the other side of the house but it's instable and with a terrible speed , so i decided to use a powerline and connect an access point to it, now while this actually works, it's a solution i can't keep for many reasons.

The question is, does a powerline exists capable of acting as an access point taking the signal directly from the AC without a cable connected to it?

I bought my father-in-law a kit like that and it worked well.

i'm looking for a powerline that can act as an access point, i don't need an extender, but the "normal" access point takes the signal usually from a lan cable and creates it's own wi-fi that you can customize, i need one that operates in the same way but taking the signal from AC power instead of a lan cable.

How did you implement that kit? I you made something similar to what i asked it's what i need.

Yes, that's exactly what the linked kit does. It connects to your router via powerline, then broadcasts a WiFi signal (same network/password) from the wall unit that has the antennae. As far as I recall from visits, you can't tell whether your WiFi is being serviced by the (basement) router, or the (upstairs) powerline extender.

To do this you press the WPS button or you enter the powerline and select the access point operating mode from the GUI?
