Hello, I was Bought an Amd Cpu for practice my overclocking before i use it for my Intel cpu.

I was wondering, is this overclocking is right? i looked from another tomhardware's post they said about " Best HT Link Speed is 2000 Mhz" But i configured the Northbridge Hypertransport to 200 Mhz, because everytime i try to overclock this cpu, it always send me back to the default clock without change any northbridge's speed. Please Guide me.

This Specs only for practice overclock :
AMD Phenom II X4 925 Stock Cooling (Only Practicing)
Ram 8gb ( idk the product)
Motherboard Biostar N68S3B
Vga rx 550.

Thanks so much!

As it's not a BE (Black Edition) you are probably overclocking by FSB so it's also OCing memory and PCI/ I/O too. You have to set PCI manually to 100 and turn off all power saving modes off. OCing also means you have to raise voltages to everything you are OCing.

BTW, practicing OC on that processor is useless because it's done quite differently on newer systems.
Honestly, you are wasting your time. Every processor OCs differently, and a phenom II is going to be very different than your unspecified intel processor.
Its trial and error regardless, so you may as well study up and take it slow on your actual processor.
