Pre-applied Thermal Paste and a New CPU

I'm planning to replace my AMD Phenom 965 with a FX 8350, I currently use a Corsair H60 2013 edition, in regards to the pre-applied thermal paste do I need to remove it with isopropyl alcohol or can I just apply the new paste?

Remove the old thermal paste, and then apply new layer.
