Greetings,

I'm trying to find a good computer for my father, who mostly uses it for web surfing and watching Hulu and so forth, but who also enjoys flight sims and wants to get MS Flight Sim 2024. Would a Dell be good enough? If so, would a Core i7 14700 and nVidia 4060 Ti do the trick for 1080p or 1440p flight simulating? The CPU matches Microsoft's ideal specs. The GPU doesn't, but since he doesn't have a 4k monitor would the lesser version be able to manage it? And if not Dell, what would you suggest in the $2000 range, with good customer support?

Sorry if this is better posted to a flight sim dedicated forum. I've gotten good advice here over the years, and thought it couldn't hurt to ask. Thanks!

Yes, that should be fine, overall. Tweaking the game settings, particularly the graphics settings, should make solid gaming performance possible.

Of course, "more" is better and you'll likely gets lots of recommendations along those lines, and to build your self.

Thanks... I would build it myself, if I could. I've been building my own since 1995. But my health has taken a downturn, and I'm no longer able to. I'll play around with the configuration some. Appreciate the advice!
