Pre-Built Gaming PC's

So I've done research into the Alienware AX51 and I found this on Tiger Direct. The price is amazing and the speccs seem pretty good. I was suggested to use a website that checks my speccs and tells me what games I can play. So I used Game-debate.com and it told me that I could run BF3 on mostly high setting, which I am fine with. So, what do you guys think? Anything better that can maybe run it on ultra for 200-300 more? And no, I oficially decided I will not build my own, its out of the question now. Thanks in advance guys!

Take my word a 545 will NOT play BF3 on high.....low or medium MAYBE...its just NOT a good enough card...

i have heard not the greatest things about those cyberpowerPC tho so make sure you read reviews.

I would see if you could find some Pre built barbone computers at your local store you would save alot of money.

The specs on the cimputer i listed would prity much let you play on Ultra settings. The computer you listed would be medium settings.

Yeah, that's not a great gaming system, and the slimline case will really restrict you if you want to upgrade in the future. For gaming PCs you're usually better off building your own, you can get a lot more performance for a lower price. Most prebuilts come with weak power supplies and weak graphics cards that are considered entry level at best for gaming. There are some prebuilts with decent gaming GPUs, but they usually go for $1200 and up. To run BF3 on ultra, you probably will have to spend even more than that for a prebuilt.

If you insist on getting a prebuilt, and want to run BF3 on ultra at 1080p or similar resolution look for something that has a Radeon HD 6950 or GTX 560Ti. Note that you will pay through the nose for such a system if you go prebuilt, probably $1300 to $1500.

An i7 2600k and a gtx 560? why, I just don't understand...

I would recommend building yourself, you could build the same thing, but get a 2500k and a gtx 570 (which have come down in price quite a bit). Its not very hard to do.

I agree with Supernova on building your own rig for gaming. The store bought PC aka Dell, HP, etc are good for movies, media, surffing, music, E-mailing, and Facebook and maybe lite gaming.

When you game with todays games, you would need a big case to allow air flow to keep the temps down. Your GPU will heat up as well of most of your hardwear. You get into small PC's.

You have all kinds of problems. This is what I did I went to Cyberpower.com and I played around with there configurater and in a sence built my PC on there and printed off the complete PC.

Then went online and located all the hardwear and bought it one piece at a time. Where I made my mistake was with the PSU and my GPU's. Not knowing what I know now.

The rig on Cyberpower was at $1675.00. I was able to put it together my self for $1200 dollars. I have ordered PC's from them for other family members and haven't had any bad dealings with them.

Another prebuild site is ibuypower.com. They are just like Cyberpower but they don't have as many choices like Cyberpower does. Anyway I wish you good luck on your up coming gaming rig.
