Prebuilt GPU replacement?

I've had a prebuilt ASUS G11CB for 18 months and want to upgrade my GPU from a GTX 750 2GB to a 1060 3GB (I have a 300W PSU). I've opened up the case and watched loads of videos on how to remove a GPU but it still won't come out after I've followed all the steps. Is this ASUS stopping people from removing GPUs or me missing something?

Thanks in advance

By chance, is the edge of the bracket caught by an adjacent slot's screw (where you removed the two screws for the GTX 750)?

Also, do you have a new PSU to go along with your GTX 1060?

The 300w PSU you have now is insufficient to power the GTX 1060 in the long term.

Likely you are missing something. Make sure you have both screws removed from the retention bracket (attached to the case) and that you unlock the device on the rear of the port itself (that ensures the GPU stays in the slot when installed). Pull straight up, some slight force may be necessary.

1. did you unscrew the frame screw holding the metal part to the frame ? (Red arrow # 1 below in image)
2. there is at the end of the PCIE connector (look at the motherboard a little "flap" that you need to push slightly to release the card from the slot.

I have done both of those things. And, when I try and lift it up out of the socket it just squeaks and seems like it is stuck to the bracket, even though I have removed both of the screws

The PCIe lock seems to be unlocked but nothing is happening when I pull it

Yes it is, I think that's why there's some resistance

Remove those brackets/screws and try removing the video card.
