Hi looking to buy new gaming PC (tower only) but have 2 questions

1) I don't have an immediate need so is there any tech that would be worth waiting a month or two for?

2) if not, what's a good recommendation for a PC around 2k usd?

Thanks in advance

Solution
1) I woudl wait, Both Ryzen 4000 and Nvidia 3000 are going to be coming out hopefully sometime towards the end of this year

2) For pre-builts NZXT has been killing it with the https://www.letsbld.com/ line of PCs. They are really well priced, have good build quality and use good components.

I would really still suggest you build it yourself though, its not hard at all and there are plenty of build guides on youtube. Just don't use the Verge guide as its an atrocity and should be wiped from the internet forever.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll keep an eye on the Ryzen and Nvidia cards.

I built my last PC and now the time/stress for me isn't worth it. I'd rather spend a bit more for somebody else to have to be responsible for that. This was back with the Intel sandy bridge chips. I got one at release, only 1 compatible motherboard available and it was junk. Blew out a couple years later had to get new chip and motherboard. Plus my case was crazy crowded/messy. I'll leave it to the pros :)
