[SOLVED] performance issue

so for some reason my reg preference is worst then my friends but look at them spec's first
my reg
i5-9600k 4.8Gh 1.3v
asus rtx 2080 super evo
16 gb ddr 2666 dull chanell
z390 gaming edge
and i have few hdd and one ssd
and the system is on the 970 evo
my friends device is
almost the same the main differences are the GPU and motherboard and his cpu isn't overclocked
he got msi rtx 2070 gaming x
and z370 a pro


we both play at 2k 144hz
and for some reason he put preform my reg
so how can i define the problem and know it reason to solve it?

You could try faster RAM, upgrade from 2666 to 3200 or faster perhaps. What sort of differences in performance are we talking about - have you got examples?

I’d try both putting the cpu to stock speed and comparing. If this minimises the difference then it’s something to do with your overclock. A bad overclock can have a negative impact.

I just did a quick test after reversing the overclock and no mine isn't doing better
how can i know tho if my cpu is performing well ?
and the gpu cuz the problem need to be there for sure

Have you compared to reviews at stock speed? It’s best to make sure your system is performing inline with benchmarks at stock speeds, this gives you a baseline to measure against. Only once happy with stock performance do you start overclocking a little at a time and benchmarking after each change to see if there is an improvement.

I tested the CPU when i overclocked it like a lot i always jump 100-200mhz and try not to change the voltege tell the pc crash
but for now i set it back to normal tell i can find the problem

First Idk anything about intel Oc's but something with the cpu isn't right if you have it @4.8.
That could be somehow interfering with the gpu.
You also have 8% background use.
And only 9.3 gb free of 16gb of ram.
Have done anything as far as bios /chipset/gpu drivers/ updates lately.
