Hi guys,

I am about to build my first custom gaming PC having bought all the part and I am looking for a guide to stress testing and setting it up (basically everything between turning it on and using it normally).

Thanks

knowing what you system is would be nice.

but generally you should download a temp monitoring program like hwmonitor. run prime95 on small fft and watch the cpu temps for a bit to make sure they are not going crazy. let it run for 4 hours or so and keep checking on temps. as for your graphics card, download unigine valley or heaven and let it loop the graphics for an hour or so, again watching temps and making sure the card does not show artifacts or crash.

you can run prime95 and unigine at the same time for a few minutes if you want to stress your power supply.

if you are overclocking you can do that after you have found everything working properly.
