Question Preparing Automatic Repair Loop Issues - Nothing has worked!

I’ve tried bootrec and it says access denied, system restore doesn’t have a image, sfc /scannow is not working.

Tried to reinstall windows, says upgrade option isn’t available if you start using your computer using windows installation media.

What can I do without erasing my files?

I can’t even change uefi to legacy. I’m using a 15-dy2051wm.

so you don't need anything(data/files) from the old install?
when you reinstall windows. delete the old partition and create a new one

I do need the files. it’s for a friend and they said they have data they need to keep.
