1. The cd/dvd drive, hard drives, ssds, graphics card will each have two connections: one to the power and one to the motherboard (though graphics cards might need two power connections).

2. Thermal paste is only required if using a cooler that is not the stock intel cooler.

3. If all the parts including case are received, the only additional items needed are a static bracelet, screw driver, and thermal paste in some cases. All cables required for completion come with the components.

Confirming or denying these will help me in my build. Thanks.

1. Correct. Sata devices will have a power connection coming from the PSU and a Sata connection to the motherboard. Graphics cards, depending on how powerful of one you get, can have anywhere from no additional power connections up to 2 additional power connections. Most modern PSU's will come with those connections.

2. Intel stock coolers have the thermal paste pre-applied, so if you are going to use it, then no need to buy some. Also, several after market coolers also come with it pre-applied, so check that first before buying any. With that being said, unless you plan on overclocking or want to build a silent PC, the stock cooler will be fine.

3. You might need more Sata cables, depending on how many Sata devices you install. Most motherboards come with 2, but if you have a DVD/CD, an SSD, and a HDD, then you would be one short and need to buy one. A multi-headed screw driver is all that is required, but having a magnetic small parts holder for screws and a needle-nose pilers also helps. Also, depending on your cooling needs, additional case fans might be wanted.
