preparing repair (oh oh)

I do not know very much about computers, but i was installing worms of mayham (Original disk) after installing, it asked for n restart of the pc, so i clicked yes!!! then my worst nightmare happend, well i think it is, eniways my laptop broke down i do not know how to fix this, and the pc shop in my area asked me like R1250 to repair my laptop.... thats like 1 8th of the price i paid, please can somebody give me advice, for if this happens again, cauz i am bussy resetting y pc now!!!
