Press any key to boot from CD error

Hi,

I am looking to boot my PC from the Windows PC recovery disk - however when I tell the BIOS to open from CD drive it says press any key to boot from CD. I press a key but nothing happens so it just boots from the hard drive like normal.

How do I sort this please? It's like the keyboard stops working at that point

have you change the boot device priority to cd rom or dvd rom ?

I tried doing that but the BIOS settings are locked.
