Prestige classes

I'm trying to make a prestige class with +1 level of existing
spellcasting class at each level. I did a websearch for information on
it, and what I discovered seemed to be that it can't be done. Then I
read the description of the Pale Master prestige class, which appears to
say it does +1 level of existing spellcasting class at every other level.

So my questions are:

1) Can it be done, or is there a misprint in the HotU manual?
2) If it can be done, where would be the best place to look for
information on how to do it, for someone who knows nothing about making
prestige classes?

Can't be done. The spellcasting classes are hard-coded into the game
engine and you can't add a "new" casting class.

It just increases your spells per day, it does not affect what spells
you can learn or increase the effect of level-dependent spells.

I think the maunal said when a character gains level as a Pale Master, he
will gain *more spells per day *as if he has *levelled up in his base
spellcaster class*, but *without gaining new spell levels*.

No knowledge about making Prestige class though. You can visit RPGPlanet,
click on Neverwinter Nights on the menu. There're lots of resource about
making mods there, and people in the forums there can help you too.

"Every 2 levels, the pale master gains additional spells per day, as if
they had leveled up in their previous spell caster class. This gain
only applies to spells per day and not caster level."

Thanks, I'll try there.
