Hello all,
I am planning to buy AMD FX 8350 CPU and AM3+ 970 Asus M5A97 R2.0 motherboard, but the power supply i currently own is some bad low-end LC Power LC500H-12 V2.2. My GPU is AMD 7770HD.
I am low on cash and can't afford buying some better PSU too, at least not in the current month, i might buy it in the following months, so my question is, will this PSU somehow manage to work with components listed above?

Maybe, maybe not. I would hold off on the bebuild until you have the money for the new PSU. If you rebuild and the old PSU decides to go out/blow up it could possibly take new parts with it. Check out this list of power supplies for a better idea of where you LC power rates:

Tier four - Not for overclocking systems or high end gaming rigs. May not even output labeled power and fail standard ATX specifications slightly. May even use cheap components to meet a price

You need a minimum 500watt power supply with at least 28amps on the +12 volt rails with at least two 6-pin PCI-E power leads to run the entire system, per Nvidia. Your PSU only has ONE PCI-Ex power lead, and using an adapter may very well overload a 12volt rail. Something else to consider is that the 8350 processor is a 125Watt processor, plus the rest of your system requirements. I would look into a quality 500watt - 650 watt (anything in that range). In that Tier list, look at units in Tiers 1, 2A and 2B. Currently some of the best PSU's are the EVGA G2 and P2 series, at pretty reasonable prices

Thanks for the detailed reply. You suggested EVGA psu, but since those are not available to buy in my country, could you suggest another good psu but with some reasonable price too. Thanks in forward

Yes the PSU will manage the processor along with the card just dont OC the processor until you get a better quality PSU.
Good PSU brands : seasonic, xfx, evga G2 and B2, rosewil capstone, super flower, corsair ax/tx/hx.

Yeah i wouldn't overclock it, no way with this PSU. Now im considering buying fx 8320 as i have read that basically fx 8320 is underclocked fx 8350 and can be easily OC-ed to 8350 level (which i would maybe do with some new PSU). Buying 8320 would save me some money for buying a PSU later on. Any opinions?

Thanks guys you have been so helpful.

Or perhaps better yet, pcpartpicker.

Select your country or the one you can purchase from in the upper right corner, then take a look at the power supplies.
prit87 has listed many excellent brands to choose from.
Give us the country and your budget (yep, know it will be next month or so) and we can suggest a couple.
