Okay, so basically I want to play CoD4 (first day off in a month) and all I have had today is problems (even forgot my password and had to spend precious hours trying to remember it). I have done some research on the problem I am having with the CoD4 install, it keeps popping up with error 1309 if that's any help.

ANYWAY, all the posts etc I have read on this error say it's something to do with the DVD drive so I checked it out and sure enough XP thinks my DVD drive is a CD drive. How do I change this? Thanks in advance guys and gals!

Oh and it's a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H44N.

I believe that is caused by a corrupt registry entry, and if so the fix is beyond my knowledge, but someone on here can probably help you
